Made on my 1942 refurbshed dunlap lathe these bowls were turned out of various woods and finished in a variety of ways.

 

This is a picture of the bottom of the poplar and maple bowl I made. The bottom was made with my homemade CompressionChuck.

 

This Is a top view of the same bowl. The two top layers were laminated maple that was very ugly.

 

 

Another veiw of the same bowl. The bowl was finished with two coats of mineral oil while still on the lathe for the inside of the bowl. The outside was finished off of the lathe with more coats of mineral oil on the inside.
